Exam Name: Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) – December 2024 Session
Important Dates:
- Application Start Date: 17 September 2024
- Application End Date: 16 October 2024
- Exam Date: To be announced
- Admit Card Availability: Prior to the exam
Eligibility Criteria:
- For CTET Paper I (Primary Level):
Qualification: Minimum qualifications for teachers of Classes I-V.
Required Educational Qualification:- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
- OR Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (in accordance with NCTE regulations)
- OR Graduate with Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
- For CTET Paper II (Junior Level):
Qualification: Minimum qualifications for teachers of Classes VI-VIII.
Required Educational Qualification:- Graduation and passing or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
- OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)
- OR Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
Application Fee:
- General / OBC:
- Paper I or II: ₹1000
- Both Papers: ₹1200
- SC / ST / PwD:
- Paper I or II: ₹500
- Both Papers: ₹600
Selection Procedure:
The selection will be based on the CTET December 2024 exam performance.
- Paper I: For those aiming to teach Classes I-V.
- Paper II: For those aiming to teach Classes VI-VIII.
- Candidates can apply for both papers if they wish to be eligible for teaching Classes I-VIII.
How to Apply:
- Eligible candidates can apply online via the official CTET website from 17 September 2024 to 16 October 2024.

- CTET Paper II (Junior Level):

Age Limit:
- There is no upper age limit for candidates applying for CTET.
Pay Scale:
- As per the norms set for teachers under the guidelines of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
