- Science Stream:
- 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and English, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- 3-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- 2-year Vocational Course with Non-Vocational subjects Physics and Math from a recognized board, with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- Other Than Science Stream:
- 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- 2-year Vocational Course with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- Science Stream:
Medical Standards and Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Candidates must meet the following medical standards and pass the PFT to be eligible for selection:
- Minimum Height:
- Male: 152.5 cm
- Female: 152 cm
- Candidates from North East/Hilly Areas: 147 cm
- Candidates from Lakshadweep: 150 cm
- Chest: 77 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm (male candidates only)
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age
- Running:
- Male: 1.6 km in 7 minutes
- Female: 1.6 km in 8 minutes
- Push-ups: 10 push-ups in 1 minute (male candidates only)
- Sit-ups: 10 sit-ups in 1 minute (male candidates only); 10 sit-ups in 1.5 minutes (female candidates only)
- Squats: 20 squats in 1 minute (male candidates only); 15 squats in 1 minute (female candidates only)

Selection Process
