    • Proficiency in the local language of the state/union territory where the applicant is applying is mandatory. This includes reading, writing, and speaking skills. Candidates must provide a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet or certificate evidencing the local language as one of the subjects.
  2. Age Limit:
    • Minimum age: 20 years
    • Maximum age: 28 years (as of 30th June 2024)
    • Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government guidelines. For example, SC/ST candidates can avail of 5 years of relaxation, OBC candidates (Non-Creamy Layer) get 3 years, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) receive up to 15 years of relaxation based on the category.
  3. Other Conditions:
    • The applicant must not have undergone apprenticeship training in any other organization.
    • Candidates with job experience of one year or more post their educational qualifications are not eligible for the apprenticeship.

A provisional registration number and password will be generated for future login.
  2. Fill the Application Form: After registration, log in using the provisional registration number and password. Fill in the required details, including educational qualifications, work experience (if any), and preference for state/union territory.
  3. Upload Documents: Candidates are required to upload scanned copies of the following documents:
    • Passport-size photograph
    • Signature
    • Left thumb impression
    • Handwritten declaration stating: “I, [candidate’s name], hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true, and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
  4. Payment of Application Fee: The application fee must be paid online through debit/credit cards or net banking. The fee structure is as follows:
    • General/OBC/EWS: ₹150 + GST
    • SC/ST: ₹100 + GST
    • PwBD: Exempted from the fee
  5. Preview and Submit: Review the application form carefully before submitting it. After submission, take a printout of the application form and payment receipt for future reference.

Selection Process and Merit List

The selection process for apprentices will be based on a state-wise merit list, which will be prepared based on the candidate’s performance in their 10+2 (HSC) or Diploma examination. The merit list will rank candidates in descending order of percentage obtained. In case of a tie, the older candidate will be given preference in the ranking.

  • Candidates who have completed an engineering degree after completing a diploma will be evaluated based on their diploma marks.
